Bubbles Rat Rescue

Here are the cages I use now and also have used in the past. I will tell you how many rats can fit in each cage comfortably and how many rats I currently have in the ones I am using as well as if the cage is suitable for baby rats.

Ferplast Duetto - can hold up to 18 rats and can be split into 2/3 seperate cages. In the top I currently have 16 baby bucks and in the bottom i have 7 older bucks. This cage has small bar spacing so fine for baby rats. You will notice I currently have more than 18 rats in this cage, however this is due to one group of babies and a group of 7. This cage willl be being opened up fully as soon as i have made enough hammocks. The group of 7 bucks will then be moved into another cage.

Ferplast Brio - can hold up to 4/5 adult rats and more for baby rats. I currently have 4 of my biggest bucks in it. This cage also has small bar spacing so is fine for baby rats.

Ferplast Mito - can hold up to 18 rats. This cage can not be split into 2/3 seperate cage. I currently have 15 does in this cage and at least half of them are babies. This cage has small bar spacing so fine for baby rats.

Ferplast Furet Plus - can hold up to 4 rats. This cage is currently not in use. Not recommended for baby rats as they could easily fit through the bars and escape.

Ferplast Furet Tower - can hold up to 18 rats. This cage is also currently not in use. Not recommended for baby rats as they could easily fit through the bars and escape.

Imac cage - can hold up to 4 rats. This cage is also not currently in use. Is ok for baby rats as it has small bar spacing, however it does have small doors.

Jenny Rat cage - can hold 4-5 rats. This cage is also currently not in use. Is ok for baby rats as it has small bar spacing, however it does have small doors.

Large Marchioro Rabbit cage - This cage is only supposed to hold up to 3 rats however I currently have my 6 elderly bucks in it. Not recommended for baby rats as they could easily fit through the bars and escape.

Liberta tower - This cage apparently only supposed to hold up to 12 rats so I have heard however I currently have 16 does in it that are comfortable. Not recommended for baby rats as they could easily fit through the bars and escape.

Luna 200 - This cage can only hold up to 2 rats. I have two of these and they are only used for my lone bucks.

Ferplast Mary cage - This cage is fine as a temporary cage for 2 rats or for mum's pregnant/with babies. I have two of these and only one is on use for a lone elderly doe. This cage does have a large door on the top but a small door on the front.

Savic Freddy cage - This cage can hold up to 4 rats. Currently both of mine are not in use. They are great for babies as bar spacing is small and have a huge door.

Small Marchioro Rabbit cage - I only recommend this cage as a temporary cage/hospital cage. I currently have a lone buck in this cage.

Tommy Marchioro t3 (3 tier) cage - This cage can hold up to 10 rats. Not recommended for baby rats as they could easily fit through the bars and escape.

The Xtrail Rodent cage - This cage should only hold up to at least 16 rats. I currently have 15 adult bucks in this cage. Not recommended for baby rats as they could easily fit through the bars and escape.

Ferplast Furet xl (picture not featured) - This cage can hold up to 9 rats comfortably. This cage is currently not in use. Not recommended for baby rats as they could easily fit through the bars and escape.

I do have other cages but some of them I wouldn't have a clue what they are called.

Please do not keep your rats in tanks or small hamster type cages, it is not good for the health of the rats. Thank you
